CADWorx Plant Professional Training: Houston, April 21-23, 2015

ECE is holding a 3 day CADWorx Plant Professional training class at our Houston Training Facility on Jones Road.

The CADWorx Plant Professional classes are designed to teach the effective use and functionality of the latest CADWorx Plant software, applied to plant design work. The User will learn how to make the most of the program’s capabilities, such as quickly building and editing models in a 3D environment and generating 2D drawings and isometrics from them. The course also covers topics that, although not difficult in concept, can be time-consuming to learn on your own, such as specification management, program controls and settings. Although CADWorx Plant is easy to use, there are many methods, tricks and techniques that will improve your productivity and your ability to generate the drawings you need as efficiently as possible. This class is the best of its kind, placing a very strong focus on plant design using well-developed real-world examples.

CADWorx^® 2015 Now Shipping!

CADWorx 2015 Plant Professional, the next generation software solution for plant design and automation, has been released!!!  ECE has already requested updates for all of our Customers and we expect to start shipping product by the end of the week with a targeted completion date of next Friday!

This release’s ease of use, flexibility, scalability, and interconnectivity, improves plant design effectiveness by utilizing intelligent modeling and automatic production of design deliverables.

CADWorx 2015 updates include:

• Routing of Mitered Elbows is now possible
• Skewed pipe has been added
• Male x Female Needle Valves are now included
• Custom Field default values can be set in the model
• A new “List” data type has been added

A new training video on the CADWorx Viewbox Command was posted this evening in our CADWorx Plant Professional Training Video Section.  In this video, John Brinlee demonstrates how to create 3D Clipped Views using the viewbox command.  Further, by integrating with Sheet Set Manager he demonstrates the ability to drag & drop views into a sheet for Orthographic drawing production.
