Note: You need an active internet connection to start licensing your Leica Software. Find your Leica Software Entitlement ID’s before starting these steps. These were provided when you purchased your Leica Software. If you cannot find your Entitlement ID’s, send an email to support@ecedesign.com.

Go to your start menu, and type in “CLM” without the quotes. Start “CLM For Floating Licenses”. |

Click “Activate new Licenses” on the left hand side. Enter in your Entitlement ID’s given to you. If you have multiple Entitlement ID’s, you will have to repeat the following steps for each ID. |

Click “Check for activatable licenses” on the lower right hand side. If the Entitlement ID shows as invalid, go back and try to type it in again. If the ID is valid, click to activate the license. If your Entitlement ID still shows invalid, send an email to support@ecedesign.com. If you are activating on a virtual machine, let us know. |

Verify your installed products on the upper left hand side. Once verified, you can close the CLM For Floating Licenses window: |

Try to launch your software. If you cannot start your software, send an email to support@ecedesign.com. |

The following explains licensing basics for server and client. Server – Where your licenses are stored. Client – A user that may check out a license for each application.

To connect each Client to the server, Go to your start menu, and type in “CLM” without the quotes. Start “CLM For Floating Licenses”. |

On the client, Click “Options” on the left hand side. Check the box to “Connect remotely to CLM service:” Enter in the computer name of the server. |

On the client, Click “Manage License Server” on the left hand side. Check that the server computer ID matches. If the server is not running, Stop and Start. If your Entitlement ID still shows invalid, send an email to support@ecedesign.com. |

Try to launch your software. If you cannot start your software, send an email to support@ecedesign.com. |
