This Windows application processes directories full of DWG files. It collects Attribute values and properties so they can be inspected and modified within flexible data grids. The built-in DWG file viewer opens them without needing other applications like AutoCAD.
It reduces the time required to update Attributes within drawing files because it eliminates the need to open drawings and manually update them. It helps maintain CAD standards and improve drafting quality by checking and updating properties otherwise not seen side by side.
One processor collects and updates Attribute values found within *.dwg files. It bulk changes layers, text (color, height, widths), and dynamic block visibility. The second processor updates block libraries by setting Attribute properties in bulk. Both come with easy-to-use filtering and sorting controls to focus on specific drawings, blocks, and their Attributes.
Bulk update Attributes found in DWG File directories
Go to work on Attribute values & properties in production drawings
Select directories, and ATTEWorx will return rows for every Block Reference found in all *.dwg files.
Attribute values and their properties are populated within a highly flexible data grid.
Rows represent blocks and include columns for all Attribute values. Make changes within the grid, and ATTEWorx collects them till Saved.
Open drawing files using the built-in viewer to witness changes or inspect files.
Select one row and Show Properties in the View ribbon section to inspect Layer, Color, Visibility, Height, and Width Factors.
Select one or more rows and initiate change on any of these properties by using Attribute Property and Dynamic Block Controls
DWG File Viewer
Since ATTEWorx is a Windows application, it can be used by computers that do not have AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or any other CAD platform producing DWG files. The DWG Viewer opens files and offers views into model and layout tabs. Zoom, Pan, and associated mouse button controls allow for quick inspections.
Inspect and Update Symbol Library Attribute Properties
This processor is for that person who sets up symbols, or blocks, in CAD drafting application libraries.
It targets all Attributes. Attributes are those visible or invisible data fields grouped with symbol graphics within *.dwg files and buried under too many dialog boxes. Uses include inspecting Attributes and adjusting their properties in bulk because ATTEWorx puts them side by side.
It is common for symbol libraries to contain hundreds, or even thousands, of them. Each is represented by uniquely named block names or block file names.
These are being used in production where drafters place them within DIAGRAM-type drawings.
It is common for the same Attributes, or data fields, to exist on multiple symbols, and one of the age-old issues is that their properties can differ.
ATTEWorx is invaluable because it quickly collects all Attributes and their properties and inserts them into a highly flexible data grid.
They can be sorted, filtered, inspected, and modified if necessary.
Rows represent Drawing Names where Attributes are found, and the other columns are properties that ATTEWorx can change in bulk.
Select a row and Show Properties in the View ribbon section to inspect Layer, Color, Visibility, Height, and Width Factors.
Here you can see an example where two groups of Attributes with questionable setups, the inspection part.
ATTEWorx bulk edits multiple drawings at once, saving hours, It helps maintain CAD standards regardless of which CAD package was used to insert symbols with Attributes.
