Managing, Creating, and Updating Plant 3D ortho drawings takes a very long time. With tight deadlines users need to find faster ways to create and update their drawing deliverables. VIEWWorx is here to make it easier to manage your drawing styles and create plans, sections, and detail drawings in seconds!
Join us for our next webinar where we demonstrate how easy it is to create orthographic drawings with VIEWWorx in Plant 3D. In this webinar, we will demonstrate:
- Create Named Views for purpose
- Create Plans, Sections, and Details from your views
- Update your drawings quickly and easily
Presenter: Matt Worland, ECE Design
Inaccurate or incomplete BOM and Weld lists cause expensive repairs and rework in the field. Not all of the data required in a BOM or Weld list are available from the piping model or even available at the time of creating your isometric drawings. This can lead to costly manual updates to every isometric, causing your project to fall behind schedule.
ISOWorx allows you to quickly add or modify information in your BOM and Weld list through CSVs or spreadsheets. ISOWorx then takes your required information and adds it to your isometric drawings.
Join us for our next webinar, where ISOWorx quickly adds additional information to your isometric BOM and Weld lists. We’ll review a line that needs required data to be added to the BOM and Weld list in your isometric drawing. In this webinar, we will demonstrate:
- Custom BOM and Weld list data
- Manage BOM and Weld data through a spreadsheet
- Show updated BOM and Weld data in your completed isometric drawings
Presenter: Matt Worland, ECE Design
-
Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
-
Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
- Controls Wiring (IO Card)
- Controls Wiring (Junction Box)
-
Power Wiring (1Line, or Single Line)

Creating BOM drawings and Tagging items for AutoCAD Plant 3D is now easier! Companies have relied on BUBBLEWorx to efficiently and accurately generate BOM Drawings in other plant design software. Now AutoCAD Plant 3D users can take advantage of this easy to use tool.
Join us for our next webinar where we quickly add BOM mark numbers with a corresponding BOM Table. We can also easily annotate all ‘Tagged‘ items with custom bubble enclosures. With our MML functionality we can generate a list of custom mark numbers based on the Size and Long Description of each component in the project. Using an MML gives consistent mark numbers throughout the project.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate:
- Quickly add BOM Marks and Tables for Equipment, Steel, and Piping
- Quickly annotate Tag Marks for Equipment, Steel, and Piping
- Customize your BOM Mark numbers with a Master Material List for Steel and Piping
Presenter: Matt Worland, ECE Design
Most companies need CAD platform pipe specification to be identical, so that material descriptions are identical within 3D model deliverables such as piping isometric drawings and material take offs.
Presenter: Bill Vasey, ECE Design
Managing isometric workflow processes steals critical time from often under-budgeted projects. Rarely do isometrics come out perfect and go directly to the shop with all the required information. Companies spend hours trying to keep track of the different stages of an Isometric.
ISOWorx reduces the time needed to manage your isometric workflow, allowing you to reallocate this time to other project areas.
Join us for our next webinar, where we use ISOWorx to funnel our isometrics through the desired workflow. In our updated interface, we can view each stage of the process to assess our project’s status quickly. Along with new Staging folders, we have a new Archive folder to backup isometrics before being processed. All this results in a more robust and easier to use ISOWorx. In this webinar, we will demonstrate:
- Managing and adding Staging folders
- Adding an Archiving folder
- Review our updated Interface
Presenter: Matt Worland, ECE Design
Is Cable Tray and Conduit routing a project requirement? If so, why not leverage Plant 3D for this and produce EI&C plans leveraging the inherent intelligence? During this Webinar, ECE will demonstrate how Plant 3D can be used to produce drawings and material lists.
Webinar agenda
- Identify EI&C modeling scopes of work using Plant 3D & ELECTROWorx.
- Leverage the line numbering tray or conduit numbering.
- Visualization, design review & clash detection
- Generate plan and detail drawings complete with BOMs
Presenter: George Montgomery, ECE Design
DIAGRAMS has matured since its 2018 debut and is satisfying many use cases.
Important to adopters is the awesome Window application because it does not require AutoCAD to view drawings, export reports, and change project data.
So, this workshop is for those ‘non-CAD’ roles, as much as the AutoCAD operators.
The AutoCAD Plugin offers all the drafting one would expect plus all the data extraction and repurposing needed. Users really like the flexible symbol menu system that can consume existing libraries.
DIAGRAMS comes with symbols, but typically users import their blocks into DIAGRAMS dynamic ribbon groups and subsections.
Bring a laptop with AutoCAD already installed and load DIAGRAMS before we get started!
Licenses are available upon request.
During this hands-on session, participants will be given WorxProjects.
This collection of DIAGRAMS, AutoCAD PLANT 3D, and CADWorx projects and related Worx Plugin sample templates.
The workshop will cover these four drawing types and the reporting associated with them:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFD),
- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
- Controls PLC IO Card Wiring Diagrams
- Single Line Wiring Diagrams
Specific attention will be given toward:
- Flexible CAD-driven data structure
- Dynamic Symbol Library Interface
- Scripting and Alias potential
- Data entry options!
- Off-Page-Connectors – OPCs – that work!
- Copying, Cloning, and repurposing content.
Please come put your hands on DIAGRAMS, or just come to watch and ask questions.
As many know, ECE has been developing Worx Plugins for purpose for almost 20 years for industrial process plant design and information systems. These tools have helped countless companies enhance workflows and methods within both AutoCAD® Plant 3D and CADWorx®.
This afternoon workshop will focus on showcasing how these tools can help take the busy out of your day!
During this hands-on session, participants will be given WorxProjects. This collection of AutoCAD® Plant 3D and CADWorx® projects are related Worx Plugin sample templates.
This workshop will cover:
- MTOSnapshots with MTOWorx
- ISOCreate with ISOWorx
- Ortho views with VIEWWorx
- Dynamic bubbling and annotating with BUBBLEWorx and ANNOWorx
- and a bonus round with ATTEWorx, our Ultimate Block Attribute Editor!
Laptops will be provided with AutoCAD® Plant 3D and the Worx Plugins already loaded.
Depending on attendance, we may ask to ‘buddy’ up with a colleague to ensure everyone has a chance to put their hands on the software.
If you’re not technical on the CAD side, but still want to learn more, feel free to just come to watch and ask questions.
