Intergraph® CADWorx®, CAESAR II® and SmartPlant® help reduce Richard Design Services engineering hours by one third on Louisiana diesel facilityHOUSTON, Texas, July 29, 2014 – Intergraph has published a new case study that describes how Richard Design Services leveraged the integrated capabilities of Intergraph CADWorx for design, CAESAR II for pipe stress analysis, and SmartPlant Instrumentation to meet a fast-track 12-month engineering schedule on a large 10,000 barrels-per-day renewable diesel facility in Louisiana. With the seamless integration of these advanced Intergraph solutions, Richard Design Services was able to work on isometric drawings and other deliverables well before engineering was completed. This helped them reduce the projected engineering time from 300,000 to 200,000 man-hours, a one-third reduction.
